17th Annual United Way/NFL Players Weekend
Friday March 12th & Saturday March 13th, 2010
United Way of Meriden and Wallingford works with the community to raise funds, invest them strategically and find ways to increase civic participation. Working together, we build a healthier, safer and more successful community.
United Way is also about teamwork. For 17 years, the United Way/NFL Players’ Weekend has been a huge success! 20 NFL Players come to support this special weekend with a Silent/Live Auction, Youth Clinic and a “Bowl with the Pros” event!
Friday, March 12:
Silent/Live Auction Night, 6 – 9:30 p.m.
Zandri’s Stillwood Inn, 1074 S. Colony Rd., Wallingford
$500 per table of 10 guests/$55 single ticket
This event is your chance to mingle with over 20 NFL players,
including Ravens QB Joe Flacco!!
Purchase some great NFL memorabilia, enjoy delicious food

Saturday, March 13:
NFL Youth Clinic, noon – 3 p.m.
Wallingford Parks & Recreation Department
6 Fairfield Blvd., Wallingford
$50 per youth: space is LIMITED, Pre-registration MANDATORY
Youth between the ages of 8 – 14 years can spend the afternoon
practicing drills and having fun with NFL players – call now or

The funds raised from this event will go towards our education goals and be invested in programs that are helping children enter school ready to learn as well as to stay in school in the midst of a nationwide “drop-out crisis.” These are programs that you can see at work right away with results that will last a youngster a lifetime by giving at-risk youth the edge needed to achieve in school, to make college a viable option, to encourage life-long learning, and to develop a strong work ethic and become part of a productive, skilled workforce.

· One lane, identified with your company name, for ten of your guests for the “Bowl with the Pros” event on Saturday evening, March 13, 2010 at the Colony Lanes, Wallingford.
