Power our pantries
DID YOU KNOW: Our local food pantries serve at least 200 households a day!
With the rising cost of food and basic needs, the need continues to substantially escalate in our community every week. Our food pantries desperately need our communities'
help to meet the growing demand!
Our United Way of Meriden and Wallingford will be launching “Week of Action” this April to respond to this growing need with a 1 week in-person drive to collect nonperishable food items for local food pantries:
- Master’s Manna in Wallingford
- GLOW Food Ministry in Wallingford
- New Opportunities of Greater Meriden in Meriden
UNITED WAY'S GOAL IS TO COLLECT AT LEAST
500 ITEMS...
How to help:
Local companies, groups and individuals are encouraged to spring into action during our “Week of Action” food drive by donating non-perishable food items to be distributed to our local food pantries.
Any size contribution helps!
Can you donate:
- Cereal
- Peanut Butter & Jelly
- Pasta
- Jarred/Canned Sauce
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned Soup
- Rice
- Tuna
